For the second time, the Prague Congress Centre hosted the ESGE Days International Medical Congress, organized by the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. The congress took place in a hybrid form, yet more than 2,000 top experts from all over the world came to Prague. Another 1000 joined online. This was the first major international congress after the coronavirus pandemic, which took place at the PCC. The organizers and Czech representatives were very satisfied with the course of the event. Tomáš Hucl, Ph.D. said: "ESGE and its representatives have organized many congresses around the world and have exceptional experience in the field.
It is a beautiful feeling to see that we also have professionals of this format in the Czech Republic. I think your convention centre and especially your team have done a great job, even in these challenging times." He also thanked the PCC team, especially Hana Obrázková, for their quality approach and equal partnership for ESGE.

In May, the CzechDreamin 2022 conference took place at PCC, an event full of interesting presentations for admins, consultants, developers and marketers. The organizers appreciated the flexibility of our event management team. The 11th World Environmental Education Congress took place at the PCC, building bridges in times of climate urgency. Focusing on chance for the community to build new partnerships, develop existing networks and promote cooperation in the environmental education field. The congress was organised by AIM Group Prague and participants as well as organisers were very happy about the event. Elena Alexandrová from AIM Group said that the PCC’s “staff provided excellent support and service throughout the planning, implementation, and follow-up to the conference. We started planning this prestigious event back in 2017 (…) but thanks to the flexible and accommodating approach of Hana Obrázková and the sales team, we could seamlessly postpone the event to March 2022 and adapt it to a hybrid format.“
The congress was held just after the Russian invasion to Ukraine and after the PCC started operating the center for Ukraine refugees. The PCC team was appreciated by Elena explaining that “with the great support of Petra Kmínková, we managed to avoid any issues related to co-hosting two different events. Both the production team and the AV team headed by Milan Svoboda were professional and courteous.“ Elena also thanked Martina Sedláčková for handeling PCC’s partnership of the congress as the PCC was “able to demonstrate a sustainable approach to the most valuable audience.“

The 24th Annual Congress of the ECSS (the European College of Sport Science) coorganised with the Charles University was held in Prague for the first time. Prague Congress Centre welcomed experts from around the world to provide specific research in the field of Sport Sciences and the experience and vision of professionals, who are dedicated to one of the most fascinating areas of sports. The press conference which was held on the first day of the congress was attended by the Czech Minister of Health, Czech Deputy Minister of Education as well as the Mayor of Prague. Former president of ECSS, Tim Cable, confirmed tremendous collaboration captured by the Prague Congress Centre. He also added: „We appreciated the opportunity to present excellent scientific research in such a beautiful city like Prague is. And what´s more – there are so many activities participants can do after the official programme. We are glad to get the same feedback from all our delegates as well. “

Prague Congress Centre hosted top global start-up event of the year - Startup World Cup & Summit. The event was organized by startup incubator UP21 and investment fund Air Ventures. The big part of the event was dedicated to the European final of the global competition Startup World Cup 2019 as well as the final of Visegrad Four regional round. More than 350 startups from more than 50 countries came together in the Prague Congress Centre. Václav Pavlečka, the event organizer, pointed out to the beautiful city view which fascinates especially foreign participants. Václav Pavlečka added:” The view is just a bonus of the venue. The most important is that we used nice congress hall with great stage and audio-visual services. This is a place where you can connect a big show with many spectators and a lot of activities on the side. And this makes it a unique place.”

The European Association of Haemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD) held its 12th congress in the Prague Congress Centre. The congress welcomed record-breaking number of participants with the increase by 25% compared to the previous years. More than 2 600 medical experts, pharmacists and community representatives from 80 countries from around the world came to snowy Prague to discuss the latest treatment developments and ongoing clinical challenges in managing haemophilia and other related bleeding disorders. The President of the EAHAD 2019 Congress, Jan Blatný, expressed his pleasure from hosting the congress in Prague. "I consider this to be sort of a recognition of the Czech Republic and the cooperation of its specialists - physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, insurance companies – all, who take care of patients with bleeding disorders.“ He also mentioned that the biggest advantage of the congress was the venue of the event. „The view over the city is very beautiful. Everyone I had the chance to speak to praised the view. Personally I was delighted by the hospitality of all employees from Prague Congress Centre, including the hotel Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre. Anyone I had meetings with from the receptionists to the management of Prague Congress Centre was very helpful. “

Prague Congress Centre held Devcon IV congress for IT developers. The main discussed topic was cryptocurrency. The event brought many new technologies such as 3D printers, mining cryptocurrency farms, IOT buttons etc. It was one of the most challenging events from technological point of view for the Prague Congress Centre. There was a non-stop internet broadcast with the speed of 2000 Mbit per second to the building, including the Wi-Fi connection with the speed of 1300 Mbit per second for 4000 active devices. Devcon is organized by Ethereum Foundation with the goal to connect global community of developers, designers and ecosystem-builders where decentralized application can be created and where the community culture can be introduced to the world.
