• According to the Guinness Book of Records, the Prague Castle is the largest castle in the world with its 7,28 hectares.
• There are 18 bridges in Prague and the most famous is Charles Bridge. It is the oldest bridge over the Vltava river and the second oldest preserved bridge in the Czech Republic.
• The decoration of the Old Town Square is an Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall called also as „Orloj“. The Astronomical Clock is one of the most important technical monuments of Prague and the first written mention dates back to 1410.
• The highest building is the 216 meters tall Žižkov TV tower. The tower is decorated with huge babies designed by Prague artist David Černý.
• Prague is proud of the „younger sister of the Eiffel Tower“, the Petřín lookout tower at 378 m above sea level, which was opened in 1891.
• An important place is the historic fortification and fortress on the Vyšehrad rock. Here is also the tomb of Slavín near the church of St. Peter and Paul where important Czech personalities are buried.
• The quarter of Josefov, which surrounds the Old Town, was called the Jewish Town until 1850. Today it is a preserved complex of important Jewish monuments of European significance. You can see for example the Old-New Synagogue here.
• The cultural life in Prague is wide and can offer countless theaters, the best known is the National Theater, the Prague State Opera or the exhibition halls and museums.
